Join the Farm Labor Organizing Committee in their campaign calling on RJ Reynolds to take responsibility for the tragedies that are occurring in the tobacco fields throughout North Carolina.

JUSTICE AT SMITHFIELD
32,000 hogs are slaughtered each day at the Smithfield Packing Plant in Tarheel, NC, and unsafe conditions put workers at risk every day, not to mention extreme anti-union intimidation by management, "divide & conquer" techniques used to pit Black and Latino workers against eachother, and retaliation against workers who speak out. Human Rights Watch has even cited Smithfield for violating international human rights standards. But, the good news is that workers are organizing, and YOU can get involved.
NFWM-NC is a member of the Farmworker Advocacy Network. Among the primary concerns of the network is substandard housing conditions for farmworkers in the state.
