Letter from FLOC's NC director - This letter will identify you as a FLOC volunteer and you can hand this to a grower or anyone else who may confront you about your purpose. The letter provides phone numbers for the grower to call and asks them not to direct questions to you, the volunteer.
When no workers are home - You can leave this letter if you find no one at the camp to let workers know you were there and that someone will get them for the next meeting. Statement from NC's Attorney General - This (somewhat lengthy) document is one to show that farmworkers do have tenant's rights. This is basically just back-up, and we don't anticipate your having to use it. We are still searching for the 1-paragraph version of this document!
Maps - Printing out these maps may provide a good conversational piece for you and your passengers. You can show each other where you are from, where you have been, and where you'd like to go.
