Demand a public accounting of what steps they have taken to ensure that the Country Natural Beef sold in their stores does not contain unsafe levels of different drugs.
Demand that they stand by workers to ensure they have a union to represent them.

By April 14, 2008: Call on the Department of Labor to withdraw changes in the H2A guestworker program
this week calling on them to withdraw proposed changes to the H-2A temporary foreign agricultural worker program that are harmful to farm workers.
For now, the Department should spend its resources on effectively enforcing labor law to end the rampant abuses against U.S. and foreign workers under the H-2A program and in agriculture generally.

Farmworker, dies of heat exposure in California
Despite the implementation of permanent heat regulations last year, Eladio Hernandez died due to heat related illness.
Eladio got sick at around 1 pm and the company waited for almost 3 hours before calling for medical assistance.
The UFW is asking that you send a message to Cal OSHA immediately and tell them to conduct a full criminal investigation of this death and prosecute to the full extent of the law.


CIW invites people across the country to deliver letters to Burger King managers
Take a letter to the manager of your local Burger King informing them about farmworker conditions and BK's opportunity to work with the CIW to make a difference.
Ask the manager to pass the letter(s) on to corporate headquarters.
